Item
Title
Soldiers Monument Fundraising Pin- 1899
Description
The Ladies Memorial Day Association sold these pins in 1899 to raise money to pay for the Soldiers Monument. The ribbon says "I have, have you?" This refers to donating to the fundraiser. An image of the monument appears on the front, and President McKinley appears on the back. President McKinley was present at the dedication to "inspect" the monument.
The ribbon portion is in poor condition. While still attached, it is fraying significantly.
