Pictured is a die hob with an early design of the seal for the Bradley Polytechnic Institute. This was used to press thin sheets of metal into pins or similar objects. The hob pictured came from a lot originally purchased in a Road Island auction. The lot contained dates that range from 1888-1915.

Pictured is a hob used to manufacture Peoria Automobile Club pins or medals. The hob came from a lot originally purchased in a Road Island auction. The lot contained dates that range from 1888-1915. Two different Peoria Automobile Clubs were organized in that time frame. The first club appears around 1904 and then later merged with AAA in 1906. The second club was organized in 1912.

This is a round trip excursion ticket stub from Peoria to Chillicothe. The front of the ticket stub says "Grey Eagle," but it was a ticket for a riverboat named Rescue. According to the 1889 Peoria city directory, the Rescue was owned by Solomon York of Peoria. On the back it is dated Aug. 24, 1889. The steamer's name, Rescue, is stamped above the date.
According to p. 642 of The Historical Encyclopedia of Illinois and History of Peoria County volume 2, "Gray [sic] Eagle" was the name of a steamer that was used by Solomon York prior to acquiring the "Rescue."

Dr. George Zeller gifted this Charles A. Lindbergh airmail cover mailed from Springfield, IL on April 15, 1927 to Miss. Templin. Dr. Zeller wrote, "Presented to Miss Templin as a souvenir. Geo. A. Zeller" It is addressed to Dr. Zeller at the Peoria State Hospital. The return address is Louis L. Emmerson, Secretary of State. It's post marked Springfield, Aug 15 at 4 p.m. Three "Lindbergh Airmail" stamps were used for postage. A "Special Flight Lindbergh Day" stamped mark appears on the cover. The back cover is postmarked Peoria, August 16 at 7 p.m.
